The Malu Postioning Triangle

Multiple uses

It is used for people with disabilities of all sorts, who may have sitting problems. It is used in a baby car-seat, a booster seat, a school chair, a wheelchair or restaurant or dinning room chair and in a large lounge chair.

Suits all shapes

Older, frail people at home, in hospital, or nursing home, who have little or no trunk control, have found it very helpful in keeping them in their seat without it being a ‘restraint’ as such, since it is designed as a positioning device.

For seats of all kinds

They can be used in a car or bus with or without a booster or child car-seat. We have moved children out of wheelchairs into ‘normal’ school chairs, so that they can become part of the ‘normal’ mainstream classroom. Obviously they can prevent falls, and not only is the user comfortable and safe, but they look and feel better.

A smile is worth a thousand words

But the greatest success story for the MPT, was an Australian (possibly World) first, when an Airline accepted it for use by a very disabled little boy, after they were shown ‘before and after’ pictures of the child. This little fellow had never been able to sit up, for feeding, drinking, or even just sitting! And the smile on the child’s face when he first sat up, in one of the family’s dining chairs was priceless!
